If private, quiet, rustic and cozy are what you're seeking, the cottage is the place to stay. Think hiker cabin! Lounge in the living room by fireplace or sit on the wooden deck and read a book in the middle of the forest. Get back to the basics.
The cottage is a 1/4 mile hike from the day use parking lot. It is about 1/2 mile from the Appalachian Trail and Bears Den Rock Overlook.
It offers simplicity-with a few modern conveniences. The cottage has electricity, but no running water. There is an outdoor privy and outdoor water spigot. The cottage is fully furnished, has a refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner propane stove and has cook- and tableware. Think of it as a hiker's cottage and an upgrade from camping.

A large main room has sections for seating, dining, kitchen and reading. Out back, a wooden deck is large enough for a 2-man tent or many fold out chairs. Bring your own linens/sleeping bags.
